This labyrinth is behind the White's Chapel United Methodist Church, founded by settlers who came by wagon train from Dade County, Georgia, in 1871. A log meeting house was built and in use in February 1872. This was the first Methodist church in this vicinity. Many settlers rest in nearby cemetery. This is a spiritual labyrinth. The intent is for people to simulate a spiritual journey, complete with burdens that can be lifted upon completion. Stones are provided to simulate the burden, and an area in the center serves as a dropoff point. A stone already in the center should be hauled out, simulating helping others with their burden.
