20 years ago my husband and his family started many miles of tree rows in the fields they farmed for soil conservation and wildlife habitat. Now those trees are being ploughed by the new owners, who no longer see a viable use for them. We attempted to transplant 20 year old green ash and caragana into the outer circle of the labyrinth using a large tree spade. The caragana survived, the green ash are struggling.
