Matthew Beyes, an exceptional scout from Mount Zion has accomplished a great feat by creating, designing and constructing a prayer labyrinth as his Eagle Scout project. The Prayer Labyrinth is 48 feet in diameter and sits 20 feet off of the parking lot. The total area of the Labyrinth is 1809 square feet. The pathway is made out of a dark colored gravel while the edging stone is a tan colored brick. It took a total of 135 man hours to build the Labyrinth while a total of 22 people worked throughout the day of May 9, 2015. The Labyrinth is a great way for the congregation and community to strengthen their spiritual needs and the labyrinth provides an avenue to make that happen.
