This photo was taken by Warren Lynn just after we finished painting this World Peace Labyrinth in the Paxworks studio in Indianapolis, IN USA in 2014.

Southeast Florida area. This labyrinth is painted in four shades of blue, reflective of water and is dedicated to peacemaking and the nurture of community around the world. It was dedicated to my father at his memorial service for his work in restorative justice and conflict mediation – a work that he continued late into his 70's. The creation of this labyrinth was a part of my Doctor of Ministry project with McCormick Theological Seminary, researching the role of the labyrinth in building, sustaining and transforming community. My hope is that this labyrinth continues to lift up the vital role of peacemaking, conflict resolution, and community building wherever it travels.

The World Peace Labyrinth design was initially commissioned for the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics in the USA. It served as a quiet space for athletes and visitors to walk together, focusing on peace. There are seven small circular focal points in this design which correspond to the seven continents of the world. Symbols of peace from different cultures were originally painted in the focal points.
