The Bryn Mawr Labyrinth is situated on the park-like Bryn Mawr College campus; it is a classical 7-circle labyrinth with a diameter of 66 feet; it is cut into turf, the path is covered with hardwood mulch; thousands of crocus and early tulips are planted on the grass between the winding path for a spectacular Spring display. The labyrinth is part of the campus inventory of walled gardens, sunken gardens and woodland gardens and is accessible to the public and is used by students (especially before exams) for meditation, during May Day in a secret graduation ritual of the McBride Scholars and by the general public for recreational walks, and for labyrinth workshops.
