The labyrinth is located in the middle of the forest, approximately 1.5 kilometers from the village of Hács. This labyrinth was created in 2024. Our goal was not to build the largest labyrinth in Hungary, but somehow, that is what we ended up doing. Our intention was to create a labyrinth in a place of pure energy, deep in nature, based on an ancient pattern and built from materials that have withstood the test of centuries. A place where you are embraced only by the heart of nature, its sounds, and the endless star-filled sky. A place where the traveler, the wanderer, and the quiet walker can truly slow down and immerse themselves. As a permaculture designer, it was important to me that we build using materials found locally. In the end, we constructed the labyrinth from the remains of a village that had once flourished on this very site but was erased with the stroke of a pen more than forty years ago because of a dispute between two politicians. Since then, nature has reclaimed it. We created something new by giving new life to what remained. The bricks still carry the work, the love, the community spirit, and the lives of the people who once lived there.
