The labyrinth at Sanford Mall is located next to the Sanford Mall area near Roess Dining Hall and I.G. Greer. It is one of two outdoor permanent labyrinths at Appalachian State University, with the other being at Leon Levine Hall of Health Sciences. The Sanford Mall labyrinth is part of the Outdoor Wellness Locations (OWLs) Initiative, was funded by a grant from the NC Department of Health and Human Service, and honors students, staff, and faculty in recovery at Appalachian State University.
