The Labyrinth of Fables / Le Labyrinthe des Fables is located online but is based on the Labyrinth that existed at the Chateau Versailles from 1665 to 1775. Prior to the Bosquet de la Reine, the gardens of Versailles included a real-life labyrinth. Now, about 240 years after the Labyrinth's destruction, the application Labyrinth of Fables uses augmented reality to allow you to walk through this mysterious hedge maze and to learn the moral of the Aesop fable on each of the 39 fountains. With a smartphone or tablet you can physically walk through the existing garden while moving through the Labyrinth on your screen. If not on site, explore the twisting walkways using touch and swipe controls or sit down and use your computer. The Labyrinth existed for just over 100 years and with this app you can now walk around the Grove of the Queen and find the Labyrinth's 39 fountains; experience them in 3D and be able to read each fable and attempt to deduce the moral! When you correctly deduce the morals the fountain will activate and as you read more fables the labyrinth will grow around you!
